Skip's began in 2013 when Sheila Galloway and Don Skipton decided to convert an old farm, scheduled for demolition, into a family friendly restaurant. Being raised on a local Tomball family farm, Sheila was determined to save this quaint piece of Texas history.
At our start, we were exclusively outside dining, working at of a food truck and only selling beer, wine, and soft drinks. Though we were proud of what had had done, we knew we could be more- that's why Skip's is always growing and changing. Since our opening, we have moved from our food truck to a commercial kitchen, our humble ice-house is now a fully stocked bar with a stage and plenty of room, and a classic arcade room in our inside dining area- but the biggest change of all is what we do.
Though we are still a restaurant here to serve your family delicious meals in a fun environment, we've come to realize that we are best at is parties. Every spot in Skip's is perfect for something- a sixth birthday by the playground, a retirement in the ice-house, a reunion under the fruit trees. Whatever the cause, we have the perfect place. Check out our Parties and Events Page to see what we can do for you.
